The Inspiration behind our name

The name “Old Durbar” pays homage to the historic palaces of Nepal, which have become revered symbols in the country.

Our Story

In 1986, Yeti Distillery Private Limited was founded with the ambition of revolutionising the whisky industry in Nepal. Since the beginning, our distillery has always strived to produce high-quality spirits — evident in our diverse range of products. With the expertise of our fourth-generation master blender, we are dedicated to creating spirits that are truly exceptional. Our commitment to quality is embodied in Old Durbar — a testament to our pursuit of excellence.

Award – Winning
Whisky

Old Durbar Black Chimney marked a major milestone for our brand and distillery, as it became our first award-winning whisky. This smoky, peated variety was awarded a double gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), the largest spirits competition in the world. This prestigious recognition also marked the first time a whisky from Nepal received recognition on a global platform.

Our First Launch

In 2015, we launched Old Durbar Two Continents with pride after years of careful aging. Our first whisky boasts complex aromatics with hints of vanilla, spice, and wood. To this day, Old Durbar Two Continents remains one of our most celebrated offerings.
